WEEK 1 - Recycled Art
GRADES: 1-6
DATES: June 5- June 9
Art exists in many forms and this specialty camp will push that to the limit! Campers will use recycled materials to build amazing sculptures, revitalized used paints to create beautiful portraits, and learn about the impact recycling can have on our planet and the world of art!
WEEK 2 - Project Runway fashion camp
GRADES: 2-4
DATES: June 12- June 16
One of our most popular Camp Davis specialties – Project Runway returns for another fun summer of design and fashion taught by the JCC’s own Art Director Carrie Mills. Campers engage in the full process of design, from concept to fabrication and finally modeling their finished products. This specialty is capped and will operate on a first come first serve basis – so sign up quickly to secure your spot! Please note that this week is for campers in grades 2-4 only.
WEEK 3 - Project runway fashion camp II
GRADES: 4-8
DATES: June 19- June 23
This specialty is always so popular that we are offering it twice this summer! This second session offers the same unique design and fashion opportunities as in Week 2 but is designed for older campers grades 4-8. This session is also capped so sign-up ASAP if interested!
WEEK 4 - printing
GRADES: 1-6
DATES: June 26 - June 30
This is a brand new specialty camp for Camp Davis that we think will be extremely interesting and unique! Campers will experiment with printing on many different mediums, including leaf printing, stamps, screen printing, and even 3D printing! All of these different types of media will allow campers to flex their creativity and learn some new artistic skills.
WEEK 5 - no specialty camps this week!
WEEK 6 - theater camp Act 1
GRADES: 1-8
DATES: July 10 - July 14
Camp Davis is thrilled to bring you their first ever Theater Camp! Campers of all ages are encouraged to participate in what will be an incredibly unique and fun theater experience. The outlook of this camp may vary based on the number of campers enrolled, but our goal is to put on a performance at the conclusion of the two week session. Campers will spend their mornings working towards that goal while also leaning about different acting techniques and theater elements like set design, choreography, etc. PLEASE NOTE - if interested in this session, you must also register for the second session in Week 7.
WEEK 7 - Theater camp Act 2
GRADES: 1-8
DATES: July 17 - July 21
A continuation of Theater Camp that starts in Week 6. All campers interested in this session must register for both Weeks 6 and 7.

WEEK 8 - MACCABIA: cOLOR WAR
GRADES: K-8
DATES: July 24-July 28
The summer is almost over and it is time for one of the greatest Camp Davis traditions- the Maccabia games! This is an incredible week of camp where children are divided up into three different teams. We spend the entire week competing in different athletic, artistic, and ruach based events. Sportsmanship is the key to a victory this week, as children learn the importance of winning- and losing- with their heads held high.
Maccabia week at Camp Davis is unlike any other week. There are no field trips or specialty tracks. Children spend a large portion of the day in mixed age groupings. Because of this alternative schedule, we strongly recommend that campers have experienced additional weeks of camp before attending during week 8.
