TRADITIONAL CAMP AGE GROUPS
Campers should be challenged, but also met at their own individual level. Each group follows its own schedule, meeting campers’ specific developmental needs. No two groups experience the same week of camp. Our Traditional Camp is designed to give campers a new experience every summer- providing enhanced opportunities for growth and adventure as they get older.
Rising K: Rishonim- "Starters"
Rishonimers are our youngest campers. This very special group experiences all the excitement and fun of camp at a pace more appropriate for their very special developmental needs. It is the perfect transition program between preschool and kindergarten.
Rising 1: Chaverim- "Friends"
These dudes come ready to party. They are high energy and need a program that can keep up. Our Chaverim campers can be found grinning ear to ear as they run on the sports field, sing morning cheers, or create their own artistic masterpieces.
Rising 2: Kochavim- "Stars"
Our Kochavim campers have experienced some remarkable developmental change over the course of a year. Kochavimers use their new skills and abilities to participate in activities that offer more challenges, but also more rewards!
Rising 3rd: Chalutzim- "Pioneers"
Chalutzim campers are just beginning to experience the best of what Camp Davis has to offer. Bikes, Archery, and Ropes Courses all become available- as well as the ability to sleep over at one of our overnights.
Rising 4: Habonim- "Builders"
After initially getting their feet wet with the more adventurous Camp Davis tasks, Habonim campers are ready to jump in head first. They set their own high standards and never fail to impress.
Rising 5 and 6: Giborim- "Heroes"
We call them "Heroes" for a reason. Giborim campers are versed in all the best Camp Davis has to offer. They know what they want, and they never fail to take on a leadership opportunity.
Rising 7-10:Leadership Track
The Leadership Track is comprised of two groups: Tzofim, "Scouts," and C.I.T.s or Counselor in Training.
Campers are eligible for Tzofim as rising 7th and 8th graders and the C.I.T. program as rising 9th and 10th graders.
Both programs are a combination of traditional camp programming with extensive hands on leadership training.
As campers progress through the curriculum they experience an increase in accountability and personal identity. Click the photo for more information.
